Mutton Hollow Country Barn Boutique

I just got back from tweaking my shop at the boutique and let me tell you that this boutique is HUGE!! The barn was packed with vendors and buyers there for the preview day. There is even a food cart outside making funnel cakes. Mother's Day will be here before you know it, so head on over to the Mutton Hollow Country Barn Boutique and get support handmade goods. Remember, tassels make wonderful Mother's Day gifts!

Speaking of handmade, I just received the sweetest, cutest, bestest handmade Craft it forward from In This Small House . Don't you just love the all the handy work on this. And the perfect handmade frame that it is in too. I think it is so cute! I have it on top of my needs-to-be-painted-someday-soon bookcase along side my bouquet of tulips Ryan got me for my birthday. That little corner makes me smile every time I look at it! Thank you sooooo very much!! Getting presents in the mail is the BEST!

Be sure to check back next week because I will be hosting my very own Craft it Forward here on this li'l ol' blog of mine. It will be a good one!! You won't want to miss it!

Now get on out of here!! You need to go shopping at the boutique! :)

Nothing Day

I am having a nothing day. It started out with my deciding to wear my sweats. I should know better than to put on my sweats. I did a few things here and there, like cleaning the kitchen, watching my sweet neighbor girls, organizing my stamps and of course, blog surfing.

While surfing, I found this cute blog, Create Studio that I love. This blog led me to some really important time wasters necessary for my nothing day. Like Martha's What's your Crafting IQ? quiz. I got a 9 out of 10 in which the quiz praised me as the queen of crafts. All hail the queen! What's your IQ?
Or this recipe for Five Minute Coffee Chocolate Mug Cake. Mmmm, mmm! I think that this would make a fun afternoon with the kids. Or a perfect Sunday night treat. Too bad that I am choosing not to eat sugar.
I also agreed that this t-shirt turned ruffled cardigan was cute. I don't think that I will make it myself, but maybe you will.
Maybe my nothing day was a little more something than nothing. I shared a new (to me) blog, a yummy looking recipe, a crafting quiz to entertain ya'll and a new craft. Your welcome!
Here's to me having not having a nothing night!

All Set Up and Ready To Go!

Yesterday, I got to set up my booth at the Mutton Hollow Country Barn Boutique. It was a lot of fun to see the other boutiquers set up and how efficient they were. My booth took some time. I had a mock set up at home, but my booth size was different then they told me so quickly, we had to rework the layout. Thanks for all the help Jodi and Mom and Cindy!! I couldn't of done it without you!
Here's a sneak peak of the booth:
I wanted the booth to have a homey feel to it. Using displays of tassels uses that you could easily do in your home. Note the lamp, candlesticks, the vintage scale and my mock doorknob. I am finishing up a quick idea book for you to look at and enjoy.
My favorite part of the booth is cute little iron chair that I got to put my cards on. I saw this chair months ago and loved it but couldn't think of a use for it until I got my cards and knew it would be perfect.

So don't forget to come and visit my booth this Thursday, Friday and Saturday! It will be worth it! You'll find me upstairs in the back left corner. The barn was filling up fast with loads of crafty goods. Aprons, ties, jewelry, bows, blankets, wood goods and of course, my tassels and chalkboard tags.

Chalkboard Tags

In the midst of tasseling, I have made these cool chalkboard tags. The best part is that the chalkboard is made out of a fabric that you can write on and erase with chalk just like a chalkboard! Layered on super textural burlap and complete with checked ribbon, these tags are ready to help you get stylishly organized.

Hang them on your baskets, label your cabinets, cute hung on the back of your chairs or use them to leave reminders and love notes. Anyway you use them, you are sure to love them. I can't wait to make more for my house! Be sure to get yours at the Mutton Hollow boutique next week!

Sneak Peak....

Just a sampling of what will be available at the Mutton Hollow boutique. Loving lots of birds, roosters, and the like. Whimsical cupcakes and girly pink, crystals and feathers. Classic wooden finials, mini tassels, big pom-poms, little pom-poms and vintage phones, shoes and purses just to name a few.

Boutique Info

It's been unintentionally quiet around these parts. I have lots that I can(and will) blog about but not until next week. You see, I have been a crazy, busy bee. I'm super excited to announce that I will be participating in the Mutton Hollow Country Barn Boutique this next week! This boutique is huge! They run every Spring, Fall and Winter with this being their 26th year in business! I am super excited so please, come on out and support me! I am going to need it!

New Tassels!

I have been making tassels like crazy these past few weeks! I have lots of new stuff to show, but it is all going to the boutique that I am doing at the end of the month. If the weather ever gets any better than this dark, dreary and rainy mess, I'll get some pictures up for a sneak peak. Until then, I am off to make more tassels because that is all I do with my free time now.

Like it??

Like my new header?? Thanks to the uber talented Jeff Williams from S3 Studios. He did such a fantastic job designing a logo for me that I begged him to put it on my blog too. He was quick and easy to work with. He created exactly what I wanted without me being able to tell him exactly what that was. Thanks Jeff!

So go forth and get yourself a new design from Jeff at S3studios. He's worth it!

Big Bunny - Little Bunny

Since Easter is coming up quickly, of course I had to do just a few more Easter tassels. I was in the mood to make these Easter tassels different then all of the pastel colored ones that I have been doing for everyone. I wanted these ones to bold with a punch of color. First one was made with my friend MaryLyn in mind. No reason other than I was trying to make it bigger than my usual size. Bigger I got since he is just over 11 inches long. I love the way it turned out!

Strong black mixed with bold apple green stripes and dots, classic black and white toile and a hint of check. I am in love with this one!

************************************************************

Little bunny was made with my signature, handmade pom-pom style. No matter how many variations I make with the pom-pom, I always like them. The antique white bunny looks bright and cheery paired with strong black and the best green fringe that I have ever found.

What really makes this little guy is the rich pink flower against the dark apple green and black and white checked ribbons.

So there you have it, big bunny and little bunny - both equally fun and festive.
